The cost of living in the U.S. rose in March for the ninth consecutive month mainly due to increases in food and fuel prices.
According to the Labor Department, the consumer price index rose 0.5% for the second month.
Excluding food and fuel, however, the increase was only 0.1%. The costs of clothing went down.
