US gas storage rise by 28bn cu ft

US working gas in storage rose to 2,919bn cu ft at 23 July, according to Energy Information Administration estimates today (29 July).
This represents a net increase of 28bn cu ft from the previous week.
Stocks were 94bn cu ft less than last year at this time and 239bn cu ft above the five-year average of 2,680bn cu ft.
In the East Region, stocks were 25bn cu ft above the five-year average following net injections of 34 bn cu ft.
Stocks in the Producing Region were 126bn cu ft above the five-year average of 861bn cu ft after a net withdrawal of 5bn cu ft.
Stocks in the West Region were 88bn cu ft above the five-year average after a net drawdown of 1bn cu ft.
At 2,919bn cu ft, total working gas is within the five-year historical range.
