Update on acquisition
CAMBRIDGE, England - 24 November 2010 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L) ("Company") will be holding a Capital Markets Day on Monday 29 November 2010.
The content of the presentations at the Capital Markets Day will include new product demonstrations with a focus on Autonomy's Promote activities as well as an overview and update on the Protect and Power elements of its offering.
Autonomy confirms that no comment will be made on current trading during these presentations.
Autonomy has for the past several months been working on a specific acquisition. This work is ongoing. Recent developments within these talks have given rise to an additional opportunity that warrants further examination which could give rise to an acquisition process that exceeds our original planned time scale. The Company will not be commenting beyond this until appropriate to do so.
Autonomy notes that there can be no guarantee that any acquisition arising from these discussions will be completed.
