                              IAWS GROUP, plc AGM

Addressing the AGM of IAWS GROUP, plc today, Chairman Mr. Philip Lynch said: 'We
are now almost six months into our current financial year and I am pleased to
report that we continue to develop positively across the business.

Agribusiness trading is traditionally stronger in the second half of the year.
These activities have performed well in the first half.

Demand for our marine protein products continues to strongly outstrip supply and
the forward market remains buoyant.

Our food brands in Ireland and the UK are doing well and meeting their
objectives year to date. We are now distributing Hiestand products on the UK
market following our strategic investment in that company.

Demand for La Brea, Tim Hortons and Cuisine de France products are meeting all
of our expectations in the North American market.

As we enter our closed period before publication of our interim results in March
we are confident of a satisfactory performance in the first half of the year'.
