AIT Group plc
The Board of AIT Group plc today announces that Tom Crawford, Chief Operating
Officer, has resigned from the Board of AIT Group in order to pursue
entrepreneurial and business growth opportunities. He will be leaving the Group
in the second quarter of calendar year 2002 and has agreed to provide
consultancy services to AIT thereafter, as appropriate.
Mr. Crawford joined the company in December 1997 as Finance Director for the
operating company before being appointed to the main Board as Chief Financial
Officer in June 1999. In December 2000, Mr. Crawford was appointed Chief
Operating Officer and subsequently relinquished his position as Chief Financial
Officer to Gareth Bailey in December 2001. He was also an original member of the
operating company's executive management team which has delivered continuous
growth since flotation.
Commenting today, Carl Rigby, Chairman and Chief Executive of AIT, said:
'We are saddened by Tom's decision to leave the Group and the Board would like
to take this opportunity to thank him for his contribution and commitment to
AIT's continuous growth over the past four years. We wish him every success
with his future ventures.
'The business continues to trade well, with the sales pipeline as strong as
ever. As usual at this point in the financial year, the management team is
focused on closing contracts with customers who have selected AIT, thereby
working to deliver a satisfactory year end trading result.'
